Abstract

This work presents a study of the open cluster ic2391 through membership determination by clustering process, geometric and statistical analysis with determination of the fractal parameter q [1], as well as the study of the color x magnitude diagram for an estimate of masses and ages. The model parameters were optimized by implementing the genetic algorithm and the sample with 216 sources was obtained from the database of the gaia edr3 telescope [2], consisting of the parameters of position (, , ), proper motion (, ) and the magnitude parameters (g, gbp, grp) where obtained by using the theoretical models of isochrones and evolutionary tracks provided the parsec tool from the university of padova [5][6]. Fractal geometry analysis allows us to identify substructures in the spatial distribution of the members, providing important information about the formation process of these stars and their cloud of origin.
