Abstract

The study of young stellar cluster is of great importance given that the component stars of these objects present common characteristics such as age, chemistry, and origin location. With the emergence of recent computational resources, it is possible to concatenate the many tools of artificial intelligence required to model the astrophysical data of these clusters, making it possible to obtain global parameters. However, a very important step is the previous selection of which stars in fact belong to the cluster, being necessary to separate the background stars before proceeding with the calculations. In this article, we present an embodiment of this idea applied to a real case of astrophysical study: the analysis of a set of clustering algorithms when applied to an open star cluster. We chose the NGC 2367 cluster as a model for this analysis on account of its known characteristics.
